Waste picker gives tips to end city’s woes

Mansoor Ahmed, 33 a waste picker was one of the lucky people to attend Paris climate conference where he spoke about low carbon strategies in the waste sector. He recently spoke on his “donate dry waste project” under which he collects around 25 tonnes of dry waste in a month without asking for financial reward for his contribution and sells it to recycling companies. Providing his inputs to make the city clean, he stated that each ward should be equipped with cameras to keep a vigil on the garbage mafia and also addressed a need to find a solution for disposing sanitary waste effectively.
