Maharashtra govt to set up plant to treat polluted Mithi river

In order to stop sewage from entering the river Mithi, Maharashtra state government has decided to set up a plant to treat water from the polluted Mithi river before it reaches the Mahim bay area. Environment minister Ramdas Kadam said that they have a proposal to build a sewage treatment plant 3km before the river’s mouth, towards Mahim bay.
