AMC pledges ‘Swachh Aurangabad’ for 2016

Aurangabad Municipal Corporation has pledged to implement Solid Waste Management (SWM) to make the streets litter-free in 2016 and plans to rope in NGOs, rag pickers and citizens in the drive. The civic body has already started working on this lines by imposing ban on carry bags below 50 micron and further plans to implement zone-wise decentralised waste management which would involve segregation and door-to-door waste collection.
